That little guy up there is a painted turtle I ran into at Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area – one of only 3 Conservation Areas in PA.
Adventure is all around and in Pennsylvania there is a ton of it to be found in our State Parks and Conservation Areas.
I’ve set myself a goal of visiting all 121 state parks and conservation areas in the next 5 years. That’s a little over 20 a year which considering I have a full time job, kids, pets and all that jazz – well, it’s going to be a challenge. I have actually been to about 20 of these places over my lifetime but I wiped the slate clean and am starting over as of January 1, 2017.
What’s more is I’m afraid of heights and I don’t like being in boats overly much and both those things will have to be overcome to complete this goal
The best part is you get to come along for the ride with me!
Below is a listing of all 121 places I will be visiting and one by one I will be adding a post to this website for them – giving you an overview of what it is like to visit and linking to great resources if YOU want to visit.
Wish me luck!
